Gaining Tome one and two

The Sharingan is not automatically activated in the user by birth. It is only first unlocked under some stressful or emotional condition after which the Sharingan may be used freely. When the Sharingan is first activated by a user, it has a different number of tomoe (巴) around the central pupil, varying between users.

The wielder of the Sharingan, through continued use and training, changes its form further, which involves gaining more tomoe up to a maximum of three per eye. As the Sharingan develops, the user gains heightened abilities through the heightened ocular sense. For example, they can copy hand movements with one tomoe, predict a person's movement and copy techniques with two and fully use the Sharingan's abilities when it is fully matured.

To gain the third tome you most complete a word training of 1,000 words.

The Mangekyō Sharingan
The Mangekyō Sharingan has the ability to control the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox,[16][17] although Madara Uchiha and Tobi are the only ones to accomplish this milestone.[18] It also grants them access to other powerful techniques. The Mangekyō Sharingan is distinguished from a normal Sharingan by its appearance, which changes the form of the tomoe seal. Unlike the Sharingan, the appearance of the Mangekyō Sharingan differs from user to user; for example, Itachi Uchiha and Kakashi Hatake's resembles a pinwheel, and Sasuke Uchiha's looks like three intersecting ellipses.
The Mangekyō Sharingan gives the user access to several powerful techniques, including the powerful fire technique Amaterasu, the use of Susanoo and the almost unbreakable genjutsu Tsukuyomi. The Mangekyō Sharingan however erodes the eyesight of its users, eventually causing blindness, which can be prevented by obtaining another pair of Mangekyō Sharingan from a sibling. The new Sharingan is dubbed the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan (永遠の万華鏡写輪眼, Eien no Mangekyō Sharingan).

Each user of the Mangekyo have 100% eye health each damage is permanent. If you get another set of eyes and get EMS, you eye health goes up by 200%.

Susanoo-Can be used for four post and requires six to cool down. It deals 30 % damage to the user eyes each time they use it.

Tsukuyomi-deals 10 % damage to the user eyes each time they use it.

Amaterasu - deals 10 % damge to the user eyes

After the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan is achieved, the next step in the evolution of this dōjutsu is the Rinnegan. This fact was written on the Stone Monument of the Uchiha. Madara was able to awaken the Rinnegan shortly before his death through unknown means. ((No Other Uchiha could had done this)) If an uchiha wants to gain the Rinnegan he must kill the current Rinnegan then his Rinnegan eyes will become active with out taking the Rinnegan's eyes.

The Rinnegan is characterised by a ripple-like pattern over the eyeballs, with a light purple iris and sclera. It is said to be the most powerful of the Three Great Dōjutsu (三大瞳術, San Daidōjutsu; Literally meaning "Three Great Eye Techniques"). It was admired as being able to bring forth all ninjutsu. The holder of these eyes can completely master all five basic nature transformations that form the basis of ninjutsu. It was said that in times when the world is in disorder, a person is sent down from the heavens to become either a "God of Creation" who will calm the world, or a "Destroyer" who will reduce everything to nothingness.[1] It also allows the user to use all of the six paths techniques, as well as the seventh path - that is "beyond life and death".[2] Like the Mangekyō Sharingan and Sharingan, the Rinnegan has shown the ability to control tailed beasts through the use of the Outer Path's ability with its chains and chakra receivers.
